On Local Chirp Rate Estimation in Noisy Multicomponent Signals: With an Application to Mode Reconstruction

In this paper, our goal is to investigate local chirp rate (CR) estimation in noisy multicomponent signals. The focus put on improving a specific type of CR estimator used the second order synchrosqueezing transform, which proves be very inaccurate presence noise. More precisely, noise creates spurious oscillations estimate, and we first emphasis terms responsible for these oscillations. Then propose novel technique filter them out, resulting much more accurate estimator. We finally show how use latter improve mode reconstruction what way new useful context voice
